Our
History
Two
women completing graduate work at the Erikson Institute for Child Development in
Chicago founded Parenthesis Family Center
in 1980. Begun initially with the Morning Program, the agency has grown to
serve the emerging needs of families in Oak Park, River Forest, Forest Park, and
the surrounding communities. Staffed by professionals in the fields of
social work and child development, Parenthesis Family Center provides a wide
range of parenting education, counseling, respite, and case management services
focused on building strong families.
