A Call For Board Nominees
Parenthesis is seeking members who share our vision and
mission of strengthening family bonds and facilitating
the development of each
family member by affirming the parent/child
relationship, improving parenting
skills, and alleviating family isolation. We seek to
expand the board's
diversity in age, gender, ethnicity, and professional
background.
Specifically, we are seeking new board members that have
one or more of
the following skills:
· Accounting
· Public relations/marketing professional
· Special events planning/meeting planning
· Early childhood educator
· Fundraising professional
· Teen specialist/educator
· Computer technology
Interested individuals possessing any of the skills
listed above can
self-nominate themselves by submitting a resume to Kathy
Kern,
Executive Director via e-mail at
kkern@parenthesis-info.org. A background packet of
materials will be given to the candidate after the
resume is received.
An interview will be scheduled with the board president
or another member
of the board development committee. At the next
regularly scheduled board
meeting, recommended nominees will be presented and
approved by vote of
the board of directors. The term will begin immediately
following the
vote.
The term of office for board
membership is three years.
